Codex is aware that safety inside majestic cruise ships is not a factor to be underestimated.
It was the first company to produce and patent protective panels made of E.V.A. foam (Polymat®), capable of withstanding high and low temperatures, atmospheric agents and saltiness. The soft material of these “Onda” and “Maxionda” paddings absorbs the heaviest crashes allowing people to be less severely impacted by an accident. The injuries prevention protections designed by Codex are today widely used to cover posts, columns, pillars of any size and shape and sharp edges present in the busiest areas of cruise ships, such as sports decks, jogging tracks and multipurpose sport fields.

“Onda” and “Maxionda” safety paddings are commonly used not only in cruise ships and ferries but also in sport halls, stadiums, soccer fields, basketball and volleyball fields, tennis and padel courts.
They are used to cover any protrusion and dangerous element such as pillars of any shape and size, low or high walls, sharp edges and sports equipments.
Due to the unique wavy structure, the paddings are highly flexible and customisable and can be wrapped around any corner or curved surface as well as flat on a wall.

It easily resists to high and low temperatures and for this reason it can be installed in indoor and outdoor spaces, even in very hot or very cold conditions.
The particular round wave section allows the impact to be distributed, cushioning and absorbing its power, vertically but also diagonally.
Precisely for this feature, the tests of the UNI EN 913 Ann.C standard have obtained significantly better results compared to the classic flat paddings.
